Hi, I'm Karen Ong and I graduated from UCSD with degrees in Biology, Visual Arts and have a master's in education. I am an experienced lab manager with a strong foundation in lab operations and have an extensive background working with zebrafish. Now, I maintain and distribute sea urchin resources through NSURC, optimize sea urchin husbandry, oversee daily lab activities, mentor students, and support sea urchin research to ensure efficiency, safety, and data integrity. I strive to achieve high research standards and foster a collaborative lab environment.

My hobbies include cooking, baking, and gardening.
