I am a postdoctoral researcher in the Hamdoun lab working on developing and testing genetic tools to improve transgenic urchin generation in Lytechinus pictus. I am interested in identifying safe harbor loci for sustained integration and expression of exogenous DNA, creating foundational transgenic lines for the urchin community, and engineering novel genetic strategies to expand use of L. pictus as a model system.
In my free time I love to surf, do yoga, bake, paint, and go to concerts around San Diego.
